Sublingual spray is the logical evolution of classic oil: same base, same absorption route, but calibrated delivery. A practical format underused in France.
Why sublingual
- Faster onset than edibles (15-30 min vs. 45-90).
- Higher bioavailability than swallowed oil.
- Shorter effect than edibles (2-4 hours).
Spray advantages over plain oil
- Steady dose per spray (often 2-5 mg).
- No drop-counting.
- Travel-friendly.
- Often flavoured (mint, citrus).
Correct use
- Spray under the tongue.
- Hold 60-90 seconds before swallowing.
- Do not eat or drink for one minute after.
- Shake before each use — the oil base separates.
The Horus stance
Sublingual sprays remain niche in France, more developed in English-speaking markets. We pick sprays on the same criteria as oils: CO₂ extraction, traceability, clear dosing. Recommended especially for travellers or people who dislike pipettes. In Boulogne-sur-Gesse and L'Isle-en-Dodon we always show the correct under-tongue technique before the first use.
