The CBD capsule is one of the simplest — and most misunderstood — formats. It does nothing oil does not do, but it does it pre-dosed, solving two real issues: taste and imprecision.
Why a capsule
- Exact dose — 10, 20, 25 mg per capsule.
- Neutral taste — masks the grassy nose of a full-spectrum oil.
- Discreet.
- Stable — the shell protects from oxidation.
Format limits
- Onset — 45 to 90 minutes (first-pass metabolism).
- No fine modulation — you cannot take "one and a half".
- Lower bioavailability than sublingual or vape.
Picking a dose
- 10 mg — discovery.
- 20-25 mg — common.
- 50 mg — experienced; rare in France.
The Horus stance
Capsules suffer from a "wellness supplement" marketing veneer on many sites. We treat them like any CBD format: CO₂ extraction, traceability, current analysis certificate. We point newcomers to oils first (more modular), then to capsules once their dose is stable. In Boulogne-sur-Gesse and L'Isle-en-Dodon we always explain the onset.
To go further: CBN in evening capsules, or the place of CBG in full-spectrum formulas.
CBD is not a medicine. Sold exclusively to adults (≥ 18), non-medical use.
