Between the whole flower and the compact resin block sits an often misunderstood format: pollen, or kief. An intermediate material, interesting for its flexibility and relative purity.
What pollen actually is
CBD pollen comes from dry-sifting flowers through very fine meshes. Trichomes detach and gather into a fine, golden or amber powder. The step just before hash.
Differences with pressed resin
- Texture — granular powder, sometimes slightly sticky.
- Purity — good pollen contains almost no plant matter.
- Storage — slightly more sensitive to air and humidity than pressed resin.
- Concentration — higher than the flower, just below a heavily worked hash.
Spotting a good pollen
- Colour from light blond to warm brown. Greenish hue means coarse sifting.
- Even granulometry.
- Live nose carrying the terpenes of the source flower.
The Horus stance
Pollen is a format where quality gaps show instantly. We pick kiefs from premium source flowers, sifted on fine meshes, with traceable origin. In Boulogne-sur-Gesse and L'Isle-en-Dodon you can smell and inspect before buying.
To go further: piattella, the pressed-pollen next step, or White Widow, a classic appreciated for its generous resin.
CBD is not a medicine. Sold exclusively to adults (≥ 18), non-medical use.
